North Dakota Today | Movement 4 Kids and Second Wind Band

Thank you, friends, for watching and working for North Dakota Today. It was a beautiful February day to talk about a group of North Dakotans on a 7-day medical trip to Ecuador, my Nice People of the Week, as well as a band of “experienced” musicians.

To learn more about the Ecuador trip, click here. As a reminder, here is what they are looking for:

  • Families who have children who wear ankle foot orthosis (commonly called AFOs) we NEED these. These are not something that can be purchased, so we could love to get these donations.
  • Wheelchairs – again, if a family has a wheelchair their child has outgrown, we would love to bring it down for a child.
  • Of course, financially through our movement4kids website. Every donor is recognized with a photo and a child they helped.

If you are interested in the Second Wind Band, here’s a bit more info from the lovely Ginny Bollman:

We are kind of a regional band with members from Crookston, Mayville, Petersburg, Edinburgh, EGF, Mekinock, Reynolds and more. We do about 10 concerts a year. Please consider joining our fun group in our next rehearsal on Tuesday, Feb 3, 10am, at Popplers Music. You will find your toes can’t help but tap along to catchy tunes, some new and some familiar, but all engaging. You can’t help but be inspired by a group of birthday challenged folks who believe you’re never too old to learn new things. Click here to learn more.

I hope you enjoy this week’s North Dakota Today segment, which you can watch by clicking on the image below. Have a great week!
