Nice news of the day – October 21, 2019

Did you know the North Dakota Outdoor Heritage Fund is now taking applications for projects that will create fish and wildlife habitat, improve water, soil, or plant diversity, and enhance conservation?

And did you know today’s news is about a very, very important invention, the Bison on a national stage, and awesome kids?  Read on.

As a person who is absolutely terrible at cleaning out a pumpkin in order to turn it in to a jack-o-lantern, I think the Pumpkin Gutter may be one of the most historically-significant inventions of our time. Kudos to Even Anderson! (KX Net)

I think the title of this 427 Sports news story says it all: “National media high on North Dakota State and program’s culture.”  My boss and his family follow the Bison wherever they go (New York, etc), and he says that people always stop to tell him how nice North Dakotans are when they are in a new city. North Dakota students were off for two days last week for fall break, and some great Bismarck kids took the opportunity to volunteer with the Salvation Army. (KFYR TV)
