Nice news of the day – February 1, 2019

Did you know that the Minot Air Force Base – opened in 1957 – is one of only two bases in the country with B-52s?  I’m so glad that North Dakota is able to support all of the people in service at the MAFB and the GFAFB.

And speaking of other things that make me glad, today’s nice news is about North Dakotans helping animals, homeless children, and the environment.  Read on.

C.J. English wrote a book called “Rescue Matters” and is giving half the profits to Turtle Mountain Animal Rescue. (KVRR)

For nearly eight years, The Golden Drive has been working to end child homelessness in North Dakota; and this year, they partnered with the Lights Show on Parkway Lane to raise money and winter gear for at-risk youth. (KVRR)
