“Stuff that makes you say, “Oh, for nice”

Good Stuff

Shop my outfits (and more)

If you saw me on TV and thought, “Man, I would look so much better in that shirt” – you’re in luck, because you can now buy it yourself. I also included some other stuff I like that you might like, too.

My sister bought me this dress from J Crew when I got my first job out of college, and I hadn’t worn it in like 20 years because I had gained a bit of weight and, uh, it didn’t zip. Well, thanks to my daily 3 mile walks, I can squeeze my old butt back into it.

Obviously, you can’t buy it new anymore which is a shame because it’s really well made and tweed. Here and here and here a few sooort of similar versions, and here’s one that’s not at all close but it’s tweed and pretty cute.

In very annoying fashion, I’ve now owned this romper twice in my life. I had it in high school and then bought it again a few weeks ago. Never get rid of your clothes, kids.

Here and here and here are a few versions of this romper…or, if you have a time machine, we can go back and get the one I had in 1997 because it was even better.

In a true break of trust, my very helpful Sunday night helpers picked the outfit with the green flouncy skirt and then I turned around on Monday and wore a pencil skirt. I’m sorry. The tank top is all over this page (scroll down for links) because there’s something the matter with me in that I wear the same clothes over and over. A version (sorry, I can’t remember where I got either of these) of the flouncy skirt is here or here, and a version of the pencil skirt is here.

This dress is the one I wore for the famous/infamous “Double Spanx and Yellow Legs” story. This dress has also caused quite the issue on social media because people think it’s pink and black, but it’s actually pink and blue. The dress doesn’t deserve all that I’ve done to it because it’s really comfortable and thick. It was a gift from my parents and also comes in a version with a sherbet stripe. Click here.

If you actually saw me on TV (or just went to the front page of ND Nice) you’ll know that I decided to wear a racerback tank top (links below because I wear these tanks all the time) instead of this one because I couldn’t decide if it was appropriate to show cleavage at 9am on a Monday. The skirt is old and from Uniqlo so it doesn’t exist in mass form anymore but here and here and here are some cute options.

I’m so happy that this dress won the Sunday votes because it is so comfortable. Kyle bought it from Boden a really long time ago and if you’re detecting a theme that I keep my clothes forever, you’re right. Like all of my old stuff this one isn’t available for purchase anymore, but I did find a few generally-similar DRESSES here and here and here.

I like this outfit so much more standing up than I did sitting down on the couch because the skirt rode up a bit and my chest rode down and it turned into a “Strega Nona” kind of thing on TV. I got the skirt from the Gap sometime in the 16th century, and the tank tops from Target earlier this summer. The TANK TOPS I bought are on crazy sale, so here they are. If the sell out, here are some more. I can’t even find anything remotely similar to the SKIRT, so here and here and here are a couple of close-ish options.

There are two pictures up there because I had a t-shirt-related epiphany in the middle of the night and wore the shirt on the actual show. I bought the DRESS in, like, 2001 so it’s only available on sites like Poshmark, but I found something pretty similar on Abercrombie, a tennis number, and a less-sporty but possibly cuter situation. The SHIRT is cropped.

My best friend wrote a book! Actually, she wrote three books (and, actually, she wrote seven books…but that’s a secret, so don’t tell anyone). The series is called The Martha’s Vineyard Murders and you can learn more or buy them by clicking here. If you want to buy the toilet paper in the box behind me, that’s available here.

In the market to look like a pirate or a Renaissance Faire peasant? I got you covered. Here is the SKIRT, SHOES, and something similar to the SHIRT (expensive version) or (inexpensive version).

Kyle bought me this dress because I think he thinks I am younger than I am – but that’s okay because I’ve received a million compliments on it. I’ve worn it once with a denim jacket and that looked less princess-y. Here’s the exact DRESS, here’s something really similar but in a variety of colors, and here’s one in the spirit of things that’s probably better for us olds.
