North Dakota Today | Sandy Kovar and We’ve Got You Covered

Thank you, friends, for watching and working for North Dakota Today. It was a lovely rainy day to talk about Sandy Kovar, my Nice Person of the Week, as well as a great organization helping kids look good and feel good.

At Youthworks, our mission is clear and unwavering—to ensure that all youth have a safe place to belong and be heard. With offices across North Dakota in Fargo, Bismarck, Minot, Grand Forks, and Dickinson, we are deeply rooted in the communities we serve, reaching youth where they need us most.

We are a lifeline for homeless, runaway, trafficked, and at-risk youth and their families, providing a wide range of essential programs and services, including:

24/7 crisis intervention via our crisis line

 Emergency shelter for minors

Transitional housing for homeless young adults

Anti-trafficking programs offering safety and support

Street outreach and drop-in centers for vulnerable youth

School-based initiatives fostering stability and success for struggling students

Cultural, activity, and support groups to build community

Every year, over 1,000 youth and families across North Dakota find hope, stability, and empowerment through Youthworks. We don’t just provide services—we create pathways to brighter futures.
