Want to keep the 4th of July festivities going with a townful of really nice people doing all sorts of fun (and free!) stuff? Head on over to Linton for their 125th anniversary!
The party has been rockin’ for two days already (drone light shows! trail rides!) and the fun has just begun. Friday’s line-up includes goat roping, a beer stein holding contest, a kuchen eating contest, clogging, a parade, inflatables, a craft show, museum tours, a tractor show, a corn hole tournament, dancing and music, and fireworks.
Saturday includes a 5K, a square dance, a polka fest, a demolition derby, mini golf, the Amazing Farmer Magic Show, Cowboy Poet Carson Houser, a drone show, and even more music and food and fun.
I tell you what, Linton knows how to party. The schedule is below and there are tons of details on their website (click here). Thank you to the very kind Steve Schumacher for a few more important items of note:
Can anyone attend? If yes, what should a first-timer know about coming to Linton and/or the 125th?
Anyone and everyone is welcomed to the Linton 125th community celebration, we will have something for everyone from a Community Play, a 5K run/walk to entertainment for young and old alike. The community of Linton is a great community to visit not only for the 125th. Linton has a rich history of farming but also has everything you need from a golf course, hospital, grocery store, multiple churches and a Blue Ribbon school. This list goes on an on…
What are you most looking forward to?
I’m most looking forward to talking with old friends, but also meeting new people who may not have been back to this area in a long time. This event will give everyone a chance to relax and enjoy the many activities we have planned.
Check it out, and have an awesome time!
