If you are ever in a conversation with one or more people and the conversation inevitably turns to area fairs (as it should), I can almost guarantee that someone will say, “The best fair is the Fertile Fair.” The Polk County Fair, aka the Fertile Fair, runs from July 10-14, 2024 and is chock-full of rides! rodeos! racing! contests! shows! and exclamation points!

What makes the Polk County Fair so fantastic?

Polk County Fair is a big fair in the small town of Fertile, Minnesota (pop. 800). We have provided over 120 years of “family fun”. We have outstanding community support. We offer PRCA Rodeo, Baja Races, and Demo Derby in the grandstand, plenty of livestock, 4-H and open Class exhibits, petting zoo, parade, and fireworks.

What should I first-time visitor know?

We are a free-gate fair with plenty of free entertainment and a wide variety of food vendors. We have the largest selection of carnival rides in NW Minnesota. Dock Dogs will be there on the weekend. North Dakota’s Merrill Piepkorn & The Radio Stars will perform on the free stage on Saturday @ 7 pm.
