Pop up the camper and grease the canoe because McVILLE DAYS starts July 17th, 2025!
Oh, are McVille Days awesome? You tell me: they’ve got a helicopter ball drop, couch races, canoe races, a hole-in-one contest, a cornhole tournament, rickshaw rides, a youth fishing derby, two street dances, a parade and car/motorcycle show, and like 50,000 other things going on.
The fantastic Lule Naas of the McVille Community Club kindly provided some additional information last year on McVille Days. Check it out, plan to stay over Friday night at a minimum, and have an excellent time!
Can anyone attend?
YES! Our events are open to everyone! McVille Days is a community-wide celebration, and we get people that come from near and far. We fundraise to try to keep most of our events free or low-cost through the entire weekend. We encourage people to support our wonderful local businesses while they are here. =)
Is there anything a first-timer should know?
We love when new people visit our beautiful community. If you plan to come, Friday night and all-day Saturday are packed with fun activities, so plan to stay a night to make the most of it.
- Camping: We have camping spots available in town or at the beautiful McVille Dam (bring a swimsuit – we have a wonderful sand beach).
- Hotel: The McVille Lodge also offers rooms in town for those looking to stay. The Pekin Lodge (7miles) also has rooms.
Anything else we should know?
McVille Days has been a long-standing tradition and draws MANY people each year, whether they are coming home to see family, from neighboring communities, or from farther away. The McVille Community Club organizes this event and is supported by donations from businesses that serve our community and through local fundraisers. We couldn’t provide such a fun-filled weekend and so many free activities for families without local support. This is a weekend that really helps our small businesses thrive, so please be sure to support them while you are here. =) Follow our Facebook Page for more information (click here).
