“Stuff that makes you say, “Oh, for nice”

Check It Out | Citywide Garage Sale in Walhalla

If you’re like my husband and have never met a rummage sale or a lemonade stand you didn’t like, YOU ARE IN LUCK because Walhalla is hosting a citywide garage on Saturday, June 29, 2024!

In addition to families selling items out of their own homes, the community has also come together to host a free-will “thrift shop” out of the American Legion to raise money for the Walhalla Pool. The Legion is located at 306 10th Street South, and will be open from 9-5 on the 29th.

If, for some reason, you can’t go on the 29th, the crew is opening the “thrift shop” on a number of other days, as well – check out the schedule below, or click here for more information all around (including photos of the vast quantity of items).

Speaking of the pool, two awesome kids will be hosting a lemonade and baked goods stand at 701 Central Avenue, with all proceeds going to the pool (And am I going to talk about these kids on an upcoming North Dakota Today? You bet I am.).

In addition to the rummage sale, Walhalla has all sorts of things to do to make a day of it: Gingras Trading Post, the Pembina Gorge and Frost Fire Park, and Frost Fire Summer Theater – which is holding their first production of “Oklahoma” on June 29th at 7pm. Click here for details.

Have fun!

Hi, I’m Amanda Kosior

North Dakota Nice is filled with stories about people being awesome because I love people – and also a weekly story about me because I love me, too. I hope you find something that makes you feel good, and I especially hope you have a great day.
