“Stuff that makes you say, “Oh, for nice”

North Dakota Today | Stutsman County “Love Bombs” and North Dakota Nice in Crosby

Thank you to the awesome people who work for and watch North Dakota Today – it was a sunny morning to talk about care packages for Jamestown’s first responders and a community of love in Crosby!

As you’ll hear in my segment, the students, teachers, and administrators at Roosevelt Elementary “love bombed” the area law enforcement, firefighters, emergency medical personnel, and dispatch. You can watch the video that accompanied their care packages here. I also want to share a message I received from Andrew Kirking, the Emergency Manager of Stutsman County Emergency Dispatch (and the guy behind their Facebook page, which you can access here):

“I think I speak for all the dispatchers how much this small gesture means to us. It’s great to see all of the appreciation given (rightfully!) to our law enforcement, firefighters and emergency medical personnel and often dispatchers get overlooked. It’s incredibly humbling and deeply touching to be put in the light like this. I’m amazed by my staff everyday for showing up for every shift to help people when they’re having their worst day. These folks are rockstars and I can’t sing their praises enough. “

I hope you enjoy this week’s North Dakota Today segment, which you can watch by clicking the image below. Have a great week!
