Thank you to the awesome people who work at and watch North Dakota Today – it was a beautiful morning to talk about a pumpkin patch that gives back, and a youth program doing great things on and off the field!
For the past 23 years, Jim and Judy Engstrom’s pumpkin patch has been delighting Leeds students and supporting Anne Carlsen Center. The Engstroms sell their pumpkins (all proceeds go to Anne Carlsen) around North Dakota (they were in Devils Lake on September 30); keep an eye out for them if you need a pumpkin.
The Coyote Clay Target League – the largest in the country! – is not only fundraising for the community; they are going through a large range expansion and are looking for funds themselves. If you want to support a great organization, check them on their Facebook page or website.
Also, I thought you’d be interested in this note from Lindsey Johnson, the Coyote Clay Target League Booster Chair:
John Nelson, President of USA Clay Target League, emailed our head coach in the fall of 2021 to let us know that we were the largest team in the nation as well as fall of 2022 we were deemed the largest team in the nation. We
hosted our first shoot under the lights on August 25th and before any of us saw the news article our head coach had an email from John congratulating us on an incredible achievement.
When athletes shoot a perfect round, 25/25 they receive a patch. When they shoot a perfect 2 rounds they receive a 50/50 patch. This season we have had several athletes shoot their personal bests and the most 50/50 rounds in
Trap given out so far. We finally had our first female perfect score of 50/50 this season, Jackalynn Hinck.
We really want to thank the community for their support and encourage anyone to come out Thursday-Sunday in Fall or Spring and support our team. Go Coyotes!
