Did you know that after a 10-year hiatus, the Knife River Indian Villages in Stanton, ND is now growing a Native tobacco garden?

And did you know today’s news is about a crisis shelter, a conservation demonstration farm, and a student-designed race car?  Read on.


Dickinson has a new domestic violence crisis shelter that sounds like it will be a dramatic improvement to the community. (KX Net)

There are 10 fields in Menoken dedicated to a conservation demonstration farm.  One is used just for perennials for livestock to graze.  The others are no-till vegetables.  The farm is actively comparing biochar to regular compost.  You probably already read this article because the title includes “worm juice.”  What a world we live in.
