“Stuff that makes you say, “Oh, for nice”

Nice news of the day – October 23, 2018

Did you know that North Dakota produces 60% of the nation’s durum?  And that October is Pasta Month??  AND THIS WEEK IS PASTA LOVERS WEEK??? (Valley City Times-Online)

The Pentagon is about to get 3-feet more beautiful thanks to a military-inspired bronze sculpture by Dickinson sculptor Linda Little – who is donating the $38,000 piece that was commissioned by the U.S. Department of Defense.  Stark Development Corporation is paying the $1,100 shipping costs for the sculpture which, once in place, will be a national artifact (and probably the topic of a future Nicholas Cage movie). (Dickinson Press)

Researchers at the Cleveland Clinic have just determined that cardiovascular health is directly related to longer lifespans, so it’s just awesome that FargoMania has created an annual adaptive fitness competition for North Dakotans with disabilities or special needs. (Valley News Live)
