Rubber duckies raise money for area non-profits (KFYR-TV)

On Saturday, September 15th, a sea of rubber ducks floated down the Souris River to raise money for Companions for Children, Independence Inc., Minot Public School Foundation, and Prairie Grit Adaptive Sports. The 4th annual Minot Rubber River Duck Race also included face painting, princess appearances, bouncy castles, food trucks, and more.

NDSU’s Amy Olson places at the LPGA’s Evian Championship (GoBison)

Professional golfer Amy Olson, formerly Amy Anderson, tied for second at the Evian Resort Golf Club’s Evian Championship in Evian-Les-Bains, France.  Amy turned professional in 2013 after winning a NCAA-record 20 college tournaments while at North Dakota State University.  Amy finished 11 shots under par in the championship.

Mandan’s Rural Fire Department get funds for non-toxic, biodegradable foam (KFYR-TV)

The Mandan Fire Department was granted $42,000 for a compressed air foam system to aid in fighting wildfires.  The grant was awarded from the Andeavor Foundation.
