Nice news of the day – December 6, 2019

It’s time for the annual Airmen Cookie Drive in Minot!  The goal is to deliver 1,200 dozen cookies to first-term airmen.  If you are willing and able to bake, cookies can be dropped off December 10-13 at the Minot Chamber of Commerce.

And it’s time for today’s news – about Grandpa Gump’s Christmas Store, Elina Aggarwal’s fundraiser celebration, and Vonnie Doone’s quilting bee.  Read on.

Abhinn Aggarwal and Priyanka Sharma may have moved to New York last year to be near family, but are coming back to Minot to host a fundraiser for the Hopeful Heart Project and The Minot Area Homeless Coalition in honor of their daughter, Elina. (Minot Daily News)

Story of the Week: My grandfather recently retired after nearly 70 years (!) as a dentist.  He’s looking for ways to fill his days – like Vonnie Doone of Bismarck, who turned retirement into a way to teach children how to sew quilts, which they are turning around and donating. (KFYR TV)
