Nice news of the day – December 3, 2019

Did you know thousands of wreaths – donated by sponsors and placed by volunteers – will be laid on December 14 at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan?  If you want to donate one of the wreaths next year, check out the link in today’s news.

Crawford Peltier was best known as the Mandan Greeter because he would sit on a bench near Mandan High School and wave to passersby.  He recently passed away, and so the City is remembering him with a plaque on his bench to thank him for so many years of sunshine. (KFYR TV)

There are 6,900 graves in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, and this year 85% of them had wreaths laid on December 14.  If you want to sponsor one of the $15 wreaths, check this out. (Bismarck Tribune)

For the last 13 years, Fargo students have “Filled the FargoDome” to deliver hundreds of thousands of food and toiletry donations to the Great Plains Food Bank in time for winter. (KVRR)
