Nice news of the day – December 2, 2019

Did you know Drayton is hosting their annual Old Fashioned Christmas from December 9–15?  The party includes food, a Tree of Lights program, music, sleigh rides, a crafter’s market, and a bonspiel.

And did you know today’s news is about a puck-tastic breakfast, a sensory-friendly Santa, and a full food pantry?  Read on.


The West Fargo VFW raised $6,000 for the West Fargo Packers Hockey team thanks to a delicious breakfast and friendly faces. (KVRR)

Christmas isn’t even my holiday (I’m Jewish) and I can totally get behind the magic of Santa, so I love the fact that the Kirkwood Mall made sure to have a sensory-friendly day for kids to visit the big guy in red. (KFYR TV)

Rugby High School students took their food drive one step further this year, putting together “complete” family boxes with soups, vegetables, sides, proteins, condiments, juice, cereals, dessert, and toiletries.  They built 49 boxes, with an additional 595 extra items for the Pierce County Food Pantry.
