Kayla Delzer named Teacher of the Year (Fargo Forum)
Kayla Delzer is a third-grade teacher at Mapleton Elementary, a popular blogger, a Twitter influencer, one of the New York Times’ “tech-savviest teachers in the United States,” a member of North Dakota’s Innovative Education Task Force, a Sioux Award recipient, a PBS All-Star Digital Innovator, a public speaker, an author, and the winner of the Global Hundred, naming her one of the top 100 innovative educators in the world – and also North Dakota’s 2018 Teacher of the Year. Kayla earned her degree from the University of North Dakota, and has been teaching for 11 years.

Financial website WalletHub has ranked the United States in terms of financial literacy, putting North Dakota third behind Massachusetts and New Hampshire. WalletHub evaluated the states based on credit scores, debt as compared to median income, and payment delinquencies.
Williston’s Seth Babbitt releases third album (Williston Herald)
Twenty-year old Seth Babbit is otherwise known as Tuesday X – a one-man band releasing its third album in three years. According to the interview in the Williston Herald, Seth was heavily influenced by a variety of North Dakota bands in the making of “Nocturna,” which comes out October 9.
