Sandwich giant Jimmy Johns brought a free pop-up shop to Dennis Haugen’s wheat field in Binford, ND in order to film a commercial to introduce a new 9-grain wheat bread. Said resident Bonnie Skaufel to the Grand Forks Herald:
“I hope it sparks interest, little towns have a lot to offer. We may not have everything that Fargo, has, but we do have something nice and it can maybe get people to come and visit.”

Bismarck school administrators recently engaged Jimmy Casas, author of the book, “Culturize: Every Student. Every Day. Whatever It Takes,” to work with district teachers and principals for an one-day session to inspire them to better connect with their students.
Williston’s annual art show promotes art and supports the James Memorial Library (Williston Herald)
Slated for September 15, 2018, Williston’s Art Fest includes a live auction of custom art pieces designed around the theme, “Transitions: Art in Motion.” Proceeds will go to the James Memorial Library. Said Art Fest planner Deana Novak to the Williston Herald:
“We have a great community of artists in and around Williston,” she said. “The James has always tried to support our local artists as best we can, and Art Fest is another opportunity for people to see what they have to offer. The talent here is remarkable.”
