Teacher Taylor Thompson gets books sponsored all year long (MyNDNow)

When Taylor Thompson, a First Grade Teacher at Pioneer Elementary in Bismarck, realized some of her students wouldn’t be able to afford extra books throughout the year, she put out a request on Facebook for help.  Friends and family each donated $9 per student to give Thompson the funds to buy one book a month per student during the school year.

University of Jamestown rolling out the wrestling mats in bid to host the first NAIA Women’s Wrestling National Invitational (Jamestown Sun)

The University of Jamestown is a finalist to host first National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Women’s Wrestling tournament on March 15 and 16, 2019.  There are 25 current NAIA women’s wrestling teams.

Tammy Heuther’s quick action saves a man’s life (MyNDNow)

Dickinson Mayor Scott Decker has awarded a Mayor Commendation Award to Tammy Heuther, who performed the Heimlich maneuver on a fellow guest at the Bosch Lumber company picnic, saving his life.
